One of the toughest hoops to jump through with preparedness is getting your family onboard. So many times when on speaking tours, the number one question that comes up repeatedly is, “how do I get my family involved in prepping?” And you know what? It’s also the hardest question to answer. Why? Because there are so many variables to consider. Think about it. We are all-individual and have our own unique lifestyles. We live in different regions and have specific natural disasters for those regions.
Therefore, first you need to ask yourself where this protest is coming from. Granted the mainstream media hasn’t help us any by portraying preppers as gun-toting, tin-foil hat wearing, “the sky is falling” kooks. However, it may go farther than that. It could be your family member(s) have normalcy-bias - that outta sight outta mentality that if they don’t plan for something bad, that something bad won’t happen - sort of mindset. Preparedness planning could also be scary topic to them. Like say, drafting your will? Who wants to think about dying, right? Same could hold true for preparedness planning. Who wants to think about disasters – even when we know both death and disasters are inevitable?
My mission since making that huge leap from city-dwelling to rural homesteading living has always been to help bring more preparedness awareness to as many as possible, and in as many different ways as possible. That is why I created “Puzzling Over Preparedness – Survivor Jane’s Prepper Word Search Puzzles”. Preparedness doesn’t have to be scary, dark, or doomy-gloomy, as some tend to portray it. Why not have it be fun and entertaining experience?
Studies have shown that puzzles, specifically word puzzles and crossword puzzles can help improve memory, focus, vocabulary, and overall mental awareness. See where I’m going here? Help family and friends learn preparedness terms, words, and phrases through entertainment.
Even preppers can enjoy “Puzzling Over Preparedness”, after all, just as your body needs exercise to stay in shape and maintain proper health, your brain also requires exercise to keep fit. Think you already know it all? Then give yourself a time limit and see how fast you can do the puzzles. See there is a challenge for everyone.
“Puzzling Over Preparedness” is a one of a kind word search puzzle book series created for preppers by a prepper, to bringing further preparedness awareness in a fun and entertaining way with over 100 pre-made preparedness lists and terms for any disaster.
