Book Review- Quick Start Guide- Surviving an Urban Disaster- The Survival Essentials Made Easy- Small Steps, Big Results.
I am reviewing Richard Duarte’s new book entitled: Quick Start Guide- Surviving an Urban Disaster- The Survival Essentials Made Easy- Small Steps, Big Results.
I have known Richard Duarte professionally as a preparedness expert and speaker for a couple of years now. I have had the opportunity to interview him on my radio show and I can tell you that Richard brings a unique perspective to preparedness that reaches the over 50% of the U.S. population that lives in urban and suburban areas. For those that are still tied to heavily populated areas, and have not managed to or cannot at this time, live in a rural homestead, Richard helps you survive in an environment that can quickly turn into a hot bed of civil unrest.
That being said, in his latest book, I have to say that the tips and advice he offers are equally applicable to people living in any environment- urban or rural.
This is a great book and his subtitle of The Survival Essentials Made Easy- Small Steps, Big Results, may be an even more appropriate title for the book. It is in fact, easy to read, and the use of bullet points make it a true Quick Start Guide. It is even a great “refresher” and “check list” for those of us that have been prepping for years.
Richard uses short quick paragraphs, color photos, and puts the basics in order…It is a quick read
Truly this book has value for anyone- from a “newbie”, to a hardline and experienced prepper –by teaching small steps -that get big results.
